FIP.08 follows hot on the heels of the approval of STP.08 on Songbird. The proposal recommends the inclusion of 19 additional cryptocurrency price feeds in the FTSO on Flare and defines a process for selecting and adding further feeds in the future.
If the proposal is approved by the Flare community, the following 19 data feeds will be added to the Flare Time Series Oracle: TRX, LINK, ATOM, DOT, TON, ICP, SHIB, DAI, BCH, NEAR, LEO, UNI, ETC, WIF, BONK, JUP, ETHFI, ENA, and PYTH. They were selected for one of three reasons:
- Shortlisted by surveying the FTSO community.
- Currently ranked in the top 25 of CoinMarketCap.
- Launched on Binance in the past 3 months with strong narrative and market capitalization.
The proposal also recommends two pathways for the addition of new data feeds. Some feeds will be automatically included should they meet defined criteria. For feeds that aren’t automatically added, or for non-crypto feeds that might incur additional costs for FTSO data providers, community submissions will be required.
